Raja Lahiani holds a PhD degree awarded by the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), the University of London, in addition to a Master of Arts in comparative literature obtained from the University of La Manouba, Tunisia. She is the author of a scholarly work titled "Eastern Luminaries Disclosed to Western Eyes: a Critical Assessment of the Translations of the Muʿallaqāt into English and French (1782-2000)," which was published by Peter Lang in 2008. Dr. Lahiani's extensive body of work encompasses numerous articles in the domains of comparative literature and translation studies, which have been featured in reputable, high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. Her research findings are regularly disseminated through presentations at prestigious international conferences. Additionally, she actively engages in peer review activities for high-indexed journals within the field of translation studies. Raja Lahiani has also enriched her academic career through teaching positions at various universities across Tunisia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, and she presently serves as associate professor within the Translation Studies Program at UAE University.
