Dr. Thangavel Murugan (Senior Member - IEEE) serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Security, College of Information Technology, United Arab Emirates University.

His academic and research specialization is Information Security, High Performance Computing, Ethical Hacking, Cyberforensics, Blockchain, Data Science for Cybersecurity and Educational Technology.

He received Doctorate from Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) Campus, Anna University – Chennai, received Post Graduate degree as M.E. Computer Science and Engineering from J.J. College of Engineering and Technology, Trichy under Anna University – Chennai (University First Rank Holder & Gold Medalist) and received Bachelor’s degree as B.E. Computer Science and Engineering from M.A.M College of Engineering, Trichy under Anna University – Chennai (College First Rank Holder & Gold Medalist).

He presently holds 15+ years of Teaching and Research experience from various academic institutions. He has published 28+ International Journals, 9+ Edited Books, 29+ book chapters in International Publishers, 47+ in International Conferences and 3 in National conferences /seminars.

He has been actively participating as reviewers in the international journals and conferences. He has attended 100+ and organized 50+ Workshops / FDPs /Contests/Industry based courses over the past years of experience. He has been a technical speaker in various Workshops/FDPs/Conferences.
