Abstract
In the title estrane derivative, C20H23BrO 2, the five-membered ring adopts a conformation that is intermediate between twist and envelope. The C atom of the formyl group and the bromo function are in close proximity. Close intermolecular Br⋯Br and Br⋯C contacts are observed in the crystal structure.
