Abstract

In this paper, a hexagonal patch antenna with modified L-shaped slots, used for multiband applications is proposed. FR4 is the substrate used with dielectric constant of 3.85. Modified L-shaped slots are arranged on patch to give resonator effects and are been used to generate multiple bands in the antenna. The proposed antenna offers multiband response at resonant frequencies of 3.5GHz, 5.8 GHz, 8.9 GHz and 10.7 GHz. The simulated results shows good performance with a minimum reflection loss of -23.14 dB and VSWR<2.
