A new Ancient North Arabian inscription with a reference to the Nabataean king Aretas

Abstract

This study deals with a newly discovered Ancient North Arabian inscription found in al-H{dot below}ussayniah, north of Ma'ān, in southern Jordan. The inscription is dated to 'the year H{dot below}arithat the king died', most likely referring to the year of the death of Aretas IV (AD 40).
