Abstract

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is one of the emerging materials that showed promising electronic, photoluminescence, chemical and mechanical characteristics. Its favorable behavior on the nanoscale, paved the way to be included in nanoelectronics applications and it is expected to substitute other semiconductor devices that reached an end in miniaturization. In this review, a brief introduction to MoS2 and its wide applications along the expected challenges are presented.
