And the most striking reason is stress. It is an expectable problem in workers of all fields, but doctors are considered to be at higher risk of stress and psychosocial problems. This study aims to elaborate significant factors causing risk of high stress level among doctors working at different hospitals in Lahore. Multiple visits were paid by researcher to hospitals to collect the data. In all 164 filled questionnaires were conducted. Overall results found that variable gender was significantly associated with most of the causes of stress. The results of factor analysis revealed that stress levels among doctors were directly influenced by underlying nine factors. Physically and mentally disturbance, annoyed feelings, inadequacy, unexpected disturbance, hurries and family problems had negative impact on doctor's stress level. It was observed that apologetic, excellence and religious attitude positively contributed in doctor's stress level. Most of the doctors in all ranks are at high risk of stress level in Lahore, due to lack of proper service structure, working long duty hours at all times of day and night and low salaries.
