Asymptomatic bacteriuria with Shigella sonnei

Abstract

We report the first case of asymptomatic bacteriuria with Shigella sonnei in a girl of 10 years of age who had no antecedent history of dysentery or vulvovaginitis and had no evidence of colonisation of the gastro-intestinal tract.
