Abstract

The number of available biological databases keeps on increasing every day. One limitation is that these databases are stored in diverse formats. Semantic web technology has introduced the resource description format (RDF) to unify heterogeneous databases. In this chapter, we illustrate how a knowledge graph can be constructed out of the biological RDF databases. We also show how free-text search can be implemented to access nodes in the knowledge graph. Finally, we introduce a way to display and navigate the created knowledge graph.
