COMBINED EFFECT OF OIL VISCOSITY, INITIAL WATER SATURATION AND WATER INJECTION RATE ON THE PERFORMANCE OF FRACTURED OIL RESERVOIRS.

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The Aronofsky mathematical model for predicting the performance of highly fractured oil reservoirs is modified to include the combined effect of oil viscosity, initial water saturation and water injection rate. The modification of the model is based on regression analysis using published data. The performance of fractured oil reservoirs predicted by the modified equation was tested against the observed performance and the results showed a reasonable match.
