Abstract
The throughput of a slotted ALOHA radio channel is evaluated in a Nakagami fading and correlated closed form expressions were derived for different design parameters. The fading parameter of interferers has higher effect on the throughput than the desired user. With shadowing, the throughput obtained always exceeds the throughput obtained in ideal channels. The presence of correlation leads to a considerable degradation on the throughput. The near-far effect provides a higher area average throughput.
