    Abstract

This paper evaluates critical information system (IS) issues from an international perspective. The study reveals that an information revolution is sweeping through the economies of member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Strategic issues in IS management are given top priorities. The perception of critical issues depends greatly on environmental characteristics and the back-grounds of the chief executives.
