Abstract

To study the vortex phase diagram under tilted magnetic fields in Bi 2Sr2CaCu2O8 + y, the c-axis resistance Rc(H) and the critical Josephson current Ic have been measured in a wide range of magnetic fields and angles, using junction-type samples fabricated by focused ion beam. Rc(H) shows a finite resistance even in the crossing lattices state with relatively large current density. We present a vortex phase diagram obtained from R c(H) measurements. The phase diagram is similar to the one studied from local magnetization measurements [Phys. Rev. B 63 (2001) 020501(R)].
