N2 - Design of a small scale wave energy converter (WEC) based on linear hydraulic system is considered in this paper. The prototype consists of low speed rotary permanent magnet generator, hydraulic motor, accumulator, valves and pistons. It is incorporated with sensors, data acquisition and monitoring devices, and various mechanical components to create a WEC system and conduct the experiment (dry test). The test is conducted to show the performance and efficiency of the designed system. Additionally, another experiment is performed to check the conversion efficiency of the machine.
