Abstract

Reproducible polymorphisms were generated by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique in the racing camel. Seven random 10- mer primers were used to assay polymorphisms. Different RAPD fragment patterns were observed for different primers used. The application of the method may prove to be invaluable in the study of genetic variation in the racing camel.
