N2 - The online shopping industry continues to experi-ence a phenomenal growth. Whilst online shopping is convenient, it comes with its own set of challenges, in particular, a rise in parcel theft when customers cannot be present to receive delivery and request it to be left at the doorstep. This paper presents 'DroParcel' a smart system for secure parcel delivery which has been devised to address the above challenge. DroParcel comprises a smart personal delivery box and a mobile application. Access to the smart box is facilitated by scanning the QR-Code / bar code that holds the tracking number printed on the shipping label of the parcel. This system not only facilitates parcel delivery by eliminating the need for the customer to be physically present during delivery but can also be used to facilitate access to multiple people on-demand through the use of a shared QR- code. This paper elaborates on the design and implementation of the complete system and highlights findings from a qualitative evaluation conducted by surveying different participants. As evident from these findings, the proposed system is easy to use and provides a robust means of secure parcel delivery.
