Abstract
The thermal dependence of the in-plane resistivity of low temperature superconducting NbN/AlN multilayers was investigated when subjected to magnetic fields of up to 7 T. These multilayers are ideal for investigating the role of anisotropy in disordered layered superconductors due to their strong pinning properties. The effects of thermal depinning may be reduced, allowing the observation of the melting and decoupling transitions.
