ARD addresses the challenge of data deluge by offering preprocessed data for immediate analysis, simplifying data preparation but requiring computational resources and expertise. The research highlights ARD's optimization through various methods. In addition, the paper also summarizes applications that showcase ARD's advantages in standardization and simplified data management. The potential of ARD extends beyond Earth Observation, and collaborations between disciplines might expand its reach. Overall, ARD's evolving landscape promises to revolutionize remote sensing's accessibility and impact on data-driven decision-making. The findings of this research provide significant insights and recommendations to the standard working group responsible for implementing the ARD standards set forth by the International Organization for Standardization and Open Geospatial Consortium.
