Abstract
Digital image anomalies are described, and a way to eliminate them by convolving the image with a discrete function is described. A dedicated unit for computing convolution is detailed, and its reliability is enhanced by self-testing and an autorouting procedure to bypass the faulty cells and replace them by redundant ones. The reliability of this array is computed as a function of the number of redundant cells. The approach is compared with other known or implemented approaches.
