Abstract
Using chromatographic techniques, kampferol, luteolin, myricetin, apigenin, luteolin-7-O-glucoside and apiin were isolated from a methanol extract of Limonium axillare and antimicrobial activity was investigated. This is the first report of apiin in the Plumbaginaceae. In addition to these flavonoids, sitosterol, stigmasterol, and sitosterol glucoside were identified.
