Abstract

In this paper, we propose methods based on two stages to find G0- and G1- multi degree reductions of disk Bezier curves. The first stage is degree reducing the centre and radius curves and the second stage is approximating the error radius curve. An example is given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method which shows that our method outperforms existing methods and guarantees geometric continuity conditions at the boundary disks which is very important in CAD and geometric modeling.
