Abstract

In this paper, an efficient real-time scheduling algorithm for delivery of multimedia document on the broadband network is discussed. This server-based algorithm uses an assignment-oriented representation to dynamically schedule real-time multimedia objects on the channels of the network. The technique we propose, automatically controls and allocates the scheduling time, in order to minimise deadline violation of real-time multimedia objects, due to scheduling overheads.
