Improving construction performance in the commercial building sector in the United Arab Emirates

Abstract

This paper presents results of the studies conducted on the construction performance in the commercial building sector in the UAE. It shows a framework to improve the situation towards developing performance indicators by analyzing the data and identifying the problems. Data for project performance was collected from forty completed projects. These included time and cost overrun, change orders, conflicting design information and contractor payments.
