Abstract
A proposed incremental model for the solution of elastostatic contact problems with non-classical friction is presented. The model employs a proposed local and non-linear friction law. The model exploits the incremental convex programming method in the frame-work of finite element scheme to accommodate the two types of inequality constraints representing non-interpenetration and slipping conditions.
