Abstract
This chapter describes the application of game-theoretic approaches in the design of intelligent network selection and resource allocation in heterogeneous wireless networks. The technical, economical, and business dimensions of the problem are discussed. The chapter justifies the need for a paradigm shift and new business models in future wireless networks. The challenges involved in network selection are outlined and the state of the art is discussed.
