Abstract

This study was aimed to determine and compare CSF biochemical parameters in 8 healthy camels and 15 camels with neurological signs. The important neurological signs observed were shivering, tremour, staggering, rotation of the head, slight vision impairment and progressive worsening of general condition. Serum and CSF were collected for the biochemical analysis of the parameters. The results revealed that there was an increase in ALB, AST, TP, MG, NA, and TBIL values in the CSF obtained from camels showing neurological sings as compared to healthy camels.
