Cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and social media, are swiftly reshaping the media industry. The transformations also call for a swift overhaul of journalism education curricula to incorporate the latest technological advancements and innovations. Journalism programs in Asia are striving to embrace new teaching methods and redesign their curricula. By examining the journalism curricula at 14 top Asian universities, we discover the efforts journalism education has made in response to newsroom transformation and changing industry needs across the region. Interviews with journalism educators are also conducted to understand their experiences, concerns, and challenges.
