Abstract
A database containing information about chemical structure and physical properties of about 70,000 thermotropic liquid crystals extracted from 14,000 references was presented. A scientific tool represented by program and data was used for statistical analysis of structure-property relationships and the prediction of phase transition temperatures. The database, which included an interdisciplinary link of information and a numerical compilation of data was, expected to be developed further in the near future.
