Abstract

Over the last decade, there has been substantial effort invested into integrating Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) into formal academic programs. Increasing research, evidence, and discussions by researchers have majorly contributed to the topic of MOOCs in various parts of the world. The purpose of this chapter is to review the literature published on the integration of MOOCs into entrepreneurship education programs in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), illustrate the present status, and propose future directions. While this study is based on secondary data analysis, it could pave the way for further conceptual and empirical research. Also, primary data collection through interviews/focus groups could be carried out in HEIs across various geographic regions to generalize the findings and develop a theory on MOOCs and entrepreneurship education.
