Abstract

Cultivating mental resilience to manage stressful situations strengthens children's mental health and well- being. Preventive intervention programs to enhance resilience have been implemented internationally in learning settings involving schools, communities, parents, and children. Regarding Cyprus, the research preventive program "We.R.Stars" has been developed and implemented in schools to promote children's resilience and well- being. The program is oriented around five key factors: personal empowerment, social skills, self- regulation, good links with the school, and positive parental involvement. The program refers to children aged 9 to 12.
