Abstract

In this paper, the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method is formulated and applied to model the loss that occurs during the transmission of an RF signal through superconducting microstrip line. This method is simple in implementation with much less computational requirements. Different parameters including the attenuation constant, the phase constant and the effective dielectric constant, current density distribution, and the magnetic field, as function of width and thickness, are calculated.
