Abstract

The article reviews several new findings on the interactions between phospholipase A₂- and phospholipase C-derived metabolites and cyclic AMP, in view of the developments recently achieved in studies on intracellular signal transduction. A complex network of multi-directional regulative mechanisms in the airways and inflammatory blood cells is briefly outlined.
