    Abstract

This research attempted to explore the depth of the Mobile Commerce Technologies (MCT) phenomenon in small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in New Zealand (NZ). Despite the reported enthusiasm for MCT and its advantages and the limited complexities and incompatibilities, the use of the MCT did not exceed the voice and SMS-based applications. The results also portray a vague picture about the future of MCT in NZ SMEs. The research discusses certain accelerators and inhibitors that would impact the depth of the MCT in NZ SMEs.
