Abstract

This chapter presents a brief overview of the impact of nanomaterials additive in different fuels for their performance analysis. The conventional fuels used in automobiles released high harmful greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Different researchers used nanoparticles additive in the conventional fuel to reduce this GHG emission, and they claimed reduction in GHG emission and improvement in engine performance parameters. An ethanol-based biodiesel blend can be used further to cut the reliance of automobiles on conventional fossil fuels. Research on the potential use of biodiesel blends in automobiles and their influence on engine efficiency and emission are described in this chapter.
