Abstract
A neural network based system is developed to advise students in a school of business to select among four majors (marketing, finance, management information system, and general business). The three-layer back propagation system is used after students finish the university course. The system is reliable, easy to use, flexible, robust, and considers many variables that affect performance. The most obvious advantage of using the system has to do with its ease of use and experimentation atmosphere it provides. The system gives new students their GPA if they are to choose a certain major.
