Abstract

The calculation of optical linear response function for mixed quantum-classical systems was analyzed using linear and quadratic electron-phonon coupling systems. Investigations show that the quantum absorption spectrum of linear and quadratic coupled system was similar to the linear coupling at low temperature. The larger part of the system was treated classically using the mixed quantum-classical formalism. The quantum vibrations of the molecular wire were handled by using the red-field theory. The results show that the problem of including quantum primary modes in molecular wires was solved by multimode Brownian oscillator (MBO).
