Abstract

Parking and travel ticket automation is increasingly crucial in urban areas as cities work towards enhancing efficiency and reducing congestion. In traditional parking systems, users typically pay for parking through a payment system and print out a ticket to display in their vehicle as proof of payment. Similarly, public transportation users pay at the station or ticket office for buses and trains. Road tax payments are typically made at station grocery markets. This paper highlights recent research and case studies on parking and travel ticket automation, focusing on innovative technologies and strategies aimed at streamlining these processes. The discussion centers on leveraging advanced technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of parking and ticketing systems, ultimately enhancing the urban transportation experience.
