N2 - The solar chimney power plant (SCPP) is a basic solar thermal power plant capable of converting solar energy into thermal energy in the solar collector. Then the produced thermal energy is turned into kinetic energy in the chimney and then into electric power via a wind turbine. This research aims to assess the performance of SCPP in hot climatic circumstances to estimate the amount of electric energy generated. Furthermore, a mathematical model is created to evaluate the power production of solar chimneys on winter and summer days. The numerical findings were verified against previously published experimental data. A good agreement is observed. The results reveal that the SCPP can generate 370 KW of electrical power for the summer day, whereas, for the winter day, it can only produce 180 KW.
