Abstract
An angular-multiblock procedure for radiation heat transfer is presented in this article. With this procedure, finer angular grids can be used in optically thinner regions to minimize “ray effects.” The proposed procedure ensures the conservation of radiant energy between angular blocks. The finite-volume method is used for demonstrative purposes in this article. The utilities of the procedure are shown using three two-dimensional sample problems.
