Re-designing a gear using reverse engineering

This paper describe our approach in reverse engineering (RE) using "Artec space spider " scanner then design using " Geomagic Design X " software, to extract the CAD model firstly by scanning & getting the mesh then model it in the Geomagic, This report describe the technique and method we used to come up with the CAD model using an existing physical model. A case study of reverse engineering using Artec space spider & Geomagic Design X for a Gear that was requested in our Machine Design II course.
