Abstract
This paper examines the available evaluation methods applicable in any research and development project. It reviews the elements of technology management, such as innovation process and risk analysis, to understand the entire structure that leads us into project evaluation. However, the particular characteristics of high technology industries provide a new set of evaluation parameters. The emphasis is put on the understanding of the parameters which will allow investors to make the right decision regarding this type of industry.
