Abstract
The sensitivity of flow rate calculations to errors in rheological parameters was investigated for W. H. Herschel-R. Bulkley fluids under laminar conditions. Flow is most sensitive to errors in yield stress and the consistency coefficient, and least sensitive to error in the flow behavior index. A criterion for laminar flow of Herschel-Bulkley fluids is also discussed.
