Abstract

In this paper, a sensor fault-tolerant control method is developed. The proposed method makes possible the compensation of additive or multiplicative sensor faults and failures. Its principle is based on the on-line estimation of an accurate state system when a fault occurs. Based on the multiple model algorithm, called interacting multiple model, applied to a particular bank of Kalman filters, a sensor fault-tolerant control is computed in order to compensate the fault effect on the system. The performances of the method are tested in simulation on a pilot plant.
