Abstract

The scarcity of resources and growing dependency on the contemporary industrial world on the non-renewable energy sources has rendered the need for sustainable practice and enhanced dependency on renewable energy sources. Sustainable energy management is emphasized not just by certain business- but nations as a whole aim to create a balance between economic, social, and environmental sustainability. In general, people become more aware of the downside of using non-sustainable energy resources on health and environment in general, they have left nations with no choice but to develop a systematic approach to containing quantity, cost, and effect of energy resources. This paper will give a very brief study to some sustainable energy policies and projects within major cities in some countries in GCC. It was found that many GCC countries are moving towards green energy with reforms in policies and environmental projects.
