Abstract
The effect of bursty IP traffic on the statistics of four-wave mixing in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) networks is studied in terms of the distribution of the actual four-wave mixing power under different IP traffic conditions. A novel approach for estimating the average four-wave mixing power in WDM network with bursty IP traffic is presented.
