Abstract

In this article, we suggest a new estimator to estimating the population mean using stratified double percentile ranked set sampling (SDPRSS). Theoretically, we show that SDPRSS estimator is an unbiased of the population mean. The SDPRSS is compared with the simple random sampling (SRS), stratified ranked set sampling (SRSS) and stratified simple random sampling (SSRS). It is found that SDPRSS is more efficient than SRS, SRSS and SSRS. In addition, by SDPRSS, we can increase the efficiency of mean estimator for specific value of the sample size.
