Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the lives of billions of people around the world in many ways. This study aims to examine how the lockdowns implemented in Australia have affected public sector employees working from their homes as well as examining if the level of trust between managers and their employees has changed. A qualitative research study was conducted with 60 Australian public sector employees. The findings indicate that teamwork and individual learning outcomes were altered. This research contributes to the body of knowledge surrounding the mechanisms used to cope with the changes and the effects on employee productivity.
