The use of infographic in the jordanian electronic newspapers: A comparative analytical study of Al Rai, Al Ghad and Assabeel

Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the degree of interest of the Jordanian electronic newspapers in the using of the infographic art at its content. The researcher used content analysis method as kind of survey approach to analyse the published inforgraphics. The study was applied to the electronic newspapers of Al-Rai, Alghad and Assabeel, using census sample for all inforgraphcis that published during 1st January 2014 to 30th January 2019, with (79) Infographic model. The results of the study showed that the electronic newspapers of the study focused on the political subjects which ranked firstly by (24.1%), followed by the economic subjects (18.9%), and then the social subjects by (17.7%). Also, the study findings showed that the sample pay much attention to the visual elements as one of the main components of the infographic by (51.30%) and particularly focused on the colors of the slides by (81%) and the figurative symbols (58.2%). All in all, the Jordanian newspapers of the study paid medium concern to the infographic (45.6%).
