Abstract
Two-photon absorption (TPA) and fluorescence properties of novel donor-acceptor-donor type 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole (BTD) dyes were investigated using 120 femtoseconds laser pulses. TPA cross-sections were measured by nonlinear transmittance measurements with an open-aperture Z-scan method. The BTD dyes have considerably large TPA cross-sections and strong red-fluorescence via TPA process.
