Abstract

A modified apparatus based on that by Coney (1977) has been developed to allow VLF-EM modelling of conductors immersed in a brine tank. The effects of varying depth below the surface and varying angle of dip for conducting sheets are investigated. Graphs are developed enabling the model data to be used to estimate both depth and dip of conducting veins from field VLF-EM profiles.
